belfast, north ireland

day 1: we arrived in belfast and checked into our b&b at about 12pm. went to town, and caught the city tour bus. didnt take much pics as the bus was moving too fast. saw murals, belfast parliment, city hall, some weird art pieces along the road and other things that i cant remember their names.
day 2: went on a tour to carrick-a-rede rope bridge (which means 'the rock in the road'. the road is the sea route for salmons on their westward journey past carrick island. the bridge is 30 metres above the sea i think) and to giant's causeway (it's actually hexagonal rocks formed from the cooling of lava. but according to myth, its a ruined castle built by a giant called Finn MacCool for his lady friend). to get there, we went on a coastal road, which was beautiful despite it being a foggy day-so we couldnt see the west of scotland(its only 13 miles away). luckily it cleared up by the time we got to carrick-a-rede.
day 3: went to queens university belfast, botanic gardens(where ma spent so much time taking pics of roses), belfast castle and st anne's cathedral.
all in all, i think ma has done enough walking to last her 2 weeks

cant believe i didnt take a picture with imaan and nazmi!!! marahnya!!!! otherwise, brighton was very lovely. luckily it was a sunny day. view was awesome!!

its such a lovely day so i decided that it'll go to waste if i didnt go out for a bit. took a walk to the place that never fails to keep me sane....

kanwal's 20th birthday bash

well......it probably is not qualified to be called as a bash. we had dinner at this very nice cafe called Casa Mexicana. then there was two birthday cakes for her, one chocolate one that Hannah and Hafsah made, the other one was a fruit-ish cake bought by Usha. those were her 3rd and 4th 20th birthday cake. as well as crackers-they're big fun! i'm quite tempted to get them for fun. but i'll probably get told off by my flatmate

ashton court

|
last saturday i went cycling to ashton court with zul and azman (surprisingly, i made it there in one piece!)  one thing, rugi it was a cloudy and gloomy day, the park didnt look at its best. but, otherwise, it was worth the pain in the but to cycle there. its such a beautiful park, with yellow leaves on trees greating us at the entrance. will have to go there again sometime and follow the path arounf the whole park.
